Following the seminar at ICE Totally Gaming in London in 2016, dedicated to the Italian case as a success story in the regulation of online gaming and then the round table of European regulators organised at EiG in Berlin, the Gioconews Italy Briefing returns to ICE to inform the global audiences on the changes and new opportunities in this successful market.

Thanks to the support of the network, the 2017 edition will host two discussions on both online and land-based gaming.

10:30 – 12:00 The Italian legacy briefing: the success in combatting illegal gambling and new opportunities

The Italian regulatory model of online gaming has already been analyzed in depth because of the important results achieved in bringing a large part of the illegal market out, even managing to bring new operators into the legal circuit. These regulatory aspects and the impact on the national and international economy will be discussed at the seminar, with speakers including the Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli's director of the online gaming office, Daria Petralia, and the representatives of major international gaming companies -  the real protagonists of this important evolution. But that's not all. We will also talk about other important changes that will characterize the Italian gaming market, starting from 2017: first of all the new tender for the assignment of new licenses that promises the entrance of new operators in the online sector. With a look at new products too, such as eSports and DFS.
